Sounds great… but my curfew is ten. We can hang out tomorrow, if you’d like! After school we could go to the Dot?
Awesome! See you tomorrow, then.

Need protection?

Ummm.
Come up with something? You can come over, I don’t know. We need to catch up.
Maybe you could come hang? I don’t know when your parents want you home or anything, but my mom still adores you, she’d love to see you again. Drew is out, don’t worry.

Bored.
What can I do to fix that?

//Wow you’re an idiot. She wouldn’t be changing her sexuality - that’s the thing. He’s not a girl. He’s a guy, therefore there would be no “lesbian sex” or changing of her sexuality at all. She’s straight, he’s straight, there’d be nothing gay about it, so no one is telling her to “try to be gay.”
About fucking time, Torres. What’s up?
Hey, man!

How’ve you been?
She glued her eyes to the table, not wanting to look at Adam until his hand found hers and she held on. Clare laced their fingers together, her eyes finding his. She shook her head, not wanting him to leave her to go to Asher. “Really, in the end, I was the one who did everything wrong. I did it to myself.” Clare swallowed thickly, feeling her eyes welling up with tears but she quickly blinked them back. She pulled her hand from his and tucked her hands into her lap, looking anywhere but at him as she did her best to calm down. “I idolized him, he was my mentor. I didn’t report him kissing me and talked it out instead. I didn’t tell. I got trapped in that car and as soon as I was out, there was no turning back and telling someone backfired on me, Adam. They fired me and kept that scum and it’s not worth it to be upset because I can’t change anything. It’s my fault.” She repeated softly.
Adam looked at their hands, and then back at her, noticing her blinking back some tears and he swallowed. She pulled her hands away, blaming herself, and he was shaking his head before she was finished. “It isn’t your fault. It’s his. He shouldn’t have abused his authority like that. He shouldn’t have kissed you. It’s his fault, and… god, Clare, I am so sorry. He’s an ass” he said, not knowing what to say once again. This wasn’t fair. Clare doesn’t deserve this. No one did, but especially not Clare. She was so good and amazing to him and everyone else, and Asher Shitak took advantage of that. ”And you can be upset. You have every right to be. I wouldn’t be doing as well as you are right now… you’re amazing, Clare” he said, honestly. “You are.”
